City Tycoon城市富翁

Roll, buy, build and outlast your friends in a little 3D town.

A board game in the spirit of the classics, played in the browser with friends or strangers. Buy cities, grow them into homes, shops or tourist spots, put petrol stations and airports on empty lots, and play item cards on each other. Gods ride along for a while; whoever goes bankrupt comes back as a ghost and keeps playing. Eight towns from Kuala Lumpur to outer space, a 15-minute quick game, and no sign-up. English and Chinese.

  • Quick start, a public table list, or a private room code for friends
  • A 2.5D town that grows as you build, eight maps, music made in the browser
  • 15-minute quick games, computer players, and practice against the computer

Petty Office打小人

打小人 as a cute little app: a case file, a pig, and an apology.

Fill in a case file in an admin-shaped screen, add a photo that goes on the pig's forehead, then pick a slipper, a frying pan or a tomato and whack the worried pig, with the villain's name on a talisman on its forehead, to a little music-box tune, until it says sorry. Or forgive it. English, Japanese and Chinese, and every case lands in the owner's admin, where its photo can be seen and deleted.

  • A case form with a photo you drag and zoom onto the pig's forehead
  • Seven tools with their own sounds, thrown tomatoes that drip, and a cute tune
  • English, 日本語 and 中文, switched on the page

Tok Tok敲木鱼

敲木鱼 as a cute little app: for after the words came out wrong.

For the other half of a bad day, when something annoying happened and something unkind got said. Knock the temple wooden fish in front of a little monk on a straw cushion and watch 阴德 +1 (good karma) float up, to a slow, soft tune made in the browser. Write down what you said and it goes into a little storm cloud that loses a letter with every knock, lightening as it goes, until the sky clears. A string of 108 beads lights up one knock at a time. English, Japanese and Chinese, and nothing leaves the page.

  • Every knock: a woody tok, a swing of the mallet, and 阴德 +1 floating up
  • A calm kalimba tune, and auto knock that lands on its beat
  • Knock what you said out of a storm cloud, one letter at a time

Purrtune求签

求签 as a cute little app: one fortune a day, and every word a kind one.

A daily habit, made lovely. A lucky cat hugs a pot of fortune sticks: hold it, or shake the phone, and it rattles until one stick leaps out, spins and clacks down. Open it and the slip unrolls with a level from 大吉 to 平安, a few kind lines, a lucky colour, number and item, and what the cat thinks. Even the quietest luck gets encouragement, never bad news. One draw a day, tied on to a wish tree that grows a paper knot for every day. English, Japanese and Chinese, and nothing leaves the page.

  • Hold to shake, or shake the phone, until a stick leaps out of the pot
  • Eighteen fortunes over six levels, every one of them encouraging
  • One draw a day, a wish tree that remembers them, and a cat to pat
Play Purrtune

City Tycoon keeps a table only while it is being played: everything is deleted half an hour after the last move. The small apps keep nothing, except the 打小人 case files, which the site owner can see and delete.
