Service Terms and Refund Policy

What you get

Everything listed for your package on our website on the day you pay, plus anything else we agree in writing. A message on WhatsApp or by email counts as writing.

• Light Web: up to 7 pages, made for phones, from the text and photos you give us.
• Pro Business Web: up to 17 pages. We write the text and edit your photos or make new ones.
• Both come with your own admin to change text, photos and prices yourself, a domain name for the first year, and hosting and database on free plans in your own accounts. The domain is a standard one, such as a .com; a premium name costs extra, at what the registrar charges. Business email is not included unless we agree it.

Price and payment

The price is the one on your invoice, in the currency shown there, and it is the whole price: there is no monthly fee. Light Web and Pro Business Web are paid in full before we start. Your invoice says how to pay; we never ask for card or banking details in a chat or email.

How long it takes

Light Web is ready in 1 to 3 days and Pro Business Web in 7 to 10 days, counted from when we have your payment and everything we need from you: for Light Web your text, photos, logo and prices; for Pro Business Web your answers to our questions and your photos. Time spent waiting for your replies or approval is added on. If we expect to be late, we tell you before the date, not after.

Please only send us text, photos and logos you have the right to use, for a business that is lawful. You are responsible for what you ask us to publish.

Changes before launch

Light Web includes one round of changes and Pro Business Web two. A round is one list of everything you would like changed, sent together, which we then make. New pages, new features or a different design are new work: we quote it first and only start if you agree. After launch, you can change your text, photos and prices yourself in your admin, as often as you like.

Launch, and 30 days of fixes

We show you the finished site and launch it when you say it is ready. For 30 days after launch we fix, free, anything that does not work the way we built it. Fixes are not changes: a new section or a new feature is quoted. After 30 days, keeping the site running is part of its maintenance (below), and other help is quoted by the job or on a monthly care plan.

Cancellations and refunds

• Before we start work: cancel and we refund everything you paid. We start work on the day we tell you, on WhatsApp or by email, that we have begun building your site.
• After we start work: what you paid is not refunded, because the time has been spent. We hand over everything done so far, and it is yours.
• If we cannot deliver what we agreed, or are more than 14 days late for reasons on our side and you no longer want it, we refund everything you paid.
• Refunds go back the way you paid, within 14 days of us agreeing to them. Your bank or card may take a few more days to show it.

To cancel, email or WhatsApp us. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.

Looking after your site

Your site runs on the free plans of its hosting and database providers, in accounts under your own email, so there is no hosting fee. If your site ever outgrows a free plan, we tell you before anything costs money.

Your price includes the domain and our maintenance for the first year. From the second year, maintenance is optional, for a yearly fee: the one shown for your country on our website when you bought; if that ever changes, we tell you before your year starts. It covers renewing your domain (the registrar’s charge included), checking that your site and its database keep running, updates, and fixing anything that stops working. New pages, new features and redesigns are not included; we quote them.

You do not have to take it. If you would rather run the site yourself, tell us and we send you a note of what to renew and where; your domain then renews on your own card, usually around US$10 to US$15 a year for a .com.

We send the invoice 30 days before your year ends. If it is not paid within 30 days after the year ends, we take it that you are running the site yourself, and we stop renewing the domain and looking after it. We never switch your site off or take anything away. If nobody renews the domain, your site goes offline and the registrar can release the name to someone else. Pay at any time and we pick it up again.

What is yours

We open the accounts your site runs on with your own email address: the code (GitHub), the hosting (Cloudflare) and the database (Supabase), and we register the domain in your name. So the code, the domain and your data are yours from day one. We use those accounts while we build your site, and hand them back to you at launch. Whenever something needs our work after that, such as renewing the domain, a fix or an update, we ask you for access, and you can change the password once we are done. Your text, photos and logo stay yours, and once paid, so is the website we made.

We may show your site in our portfolio. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will take it down.

What we cannot promise

Your site relies on services run by others, such as the domain registrar, the hosting and database providers, WhatsApp, Google and payment providers. We are not responsible for their outages or changes in their rules, though we help you deal with them. We set your site up to be found on Google, but no one can promise a ranking.

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

Privacy, changes to these terms, and law

We handle your personal data as our privacy policy describes. The version of these terms on the day you pay applies to that purchase; a renewal uses the version current at the time, and we tell you about any important change. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If something goes wrong, talk to us first: most things are settled in a message.
